Joseph Fortunato
Joseph Fortunato
Joseph Fortunato Joseph Fortunato has served as a member of our board of directors since 2013 and assumed his role as chairman in February 2017. Joseph has a long track record as an executive of a successful retail company and years of financial and operational experience. He has been operating partner at J.W. Childs Associates, L.P., an operationally focused private equity firm, since January 2017, and executive chairman of Comoto Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Cycle Gear Inc. and RevZilla Motorsports, since January 2016.

He served GNC Holdings, Inc., a global specialty retailer of health and wellness products, as consultant from 2014-17 and as chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president from 2005-14. Joseph served in various executive roles with GNC Holdings, Inc. from 1990-2005 including senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, executive vice president of retail operations and store development, senior vice president of financial operations and director of financial operations. Joseph serves on the board of directors of Mattress Firm Holding Corp., a retailer of mattresses and bedding-related products. He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at Duquesne University in 1975.

Kristen Blum Kristen Blum has served as a member of our board of directors since August 2016. She has more than 25 years of experience in developing strategies and designing information technology solutions in the retail and consumer goods industries. Kristen has served as senior vice president and chief information officer of Frito-Lay since 2015 where she leads the technology agenda for PepsiCo's $14 billion snack and convenience foods business. Kristen previously served PepsiCo as senior vice president and chief information officer of commercial solutions, innovation, data and analytics from 2013-15 where she was responsible for creating global, enterprise data and analytics solutions. She was PepsiCo’s senior vice president and chief information officer of enterprise solutions from 2010-12. Kristen also served as executive vice president and chief technology officer of J.C. Penney Co., Inc. from 2012-13 and as senior vice president and chief information officer of Abercrombie & Fitch from 2006-10 where she oversaw the information technology function of both of these organizations.

Shon Boney

Shon Boney has served as a member of our board of directors since he co-founded Sprouts in 2002, including as chairman from 2012-13. He has more than 26 years of experience in the grocery industry and intimate knowledge of all aspects of our business and operations. Shon served as chief executive officer of Sprouts from 2005-12 and vice president and chief financial officer from 2002-05. Shon served in various positions with Henry's Farmers Market including store management, buyer and director of information technology from 1986 to 2001.

Terri Funk Graham

Terri Funk Graham has served as a member of our board of directors since 2013. Terri has more than 26 years of experience in the marketing and restaurant industries. She has held the position of chief marketing officer of Origin Entertainment, Inc., a broad-based film and television company, since March 2016. Terri previously served on the board of directors of 1-800 Contacts, the largest online retailer of contacts in the US, from 2015-16 and was chief marketing officer of Red Envelope for Provide Commerce, Inc., an e-commerce gifting company, from 2013-14. She served on the board of Hot Topic, Inc., a formerly publicly traded mall and web-based specialty retailer, from 2012-13. From 2007-12, Terri was senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Jack in the Box, Inc., a restaurant company that operates and franchises the Jack in the Box and Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants. Terri, who joined Jack in the Box, Inc. in 1990, previously served as the company’s vice president and chief marketing officer from 2004-07, vice president of marketing from 2003-04 and vice president of brand communications and regional marketing from 2002-03.

Amin Maredia

Amin Maredia has served as a member of our board of directors since February 2016 and as chief executive officer of our company since August 2015. Amin was the chief financial officer of Sprouts from 2011-15. Prior to joining Sprouts, Amin served in key strategic and finance roles for Burger King Corporation, one of the world's largest fast-food retailers, including vice president of North America and Latin America finance from 2009-10, vice president of strategic planning and treasurer from 2006-09, and assistant controller from 2005-06. Before joining Burger King, Amin served as assistant treasurer and controller for Dynegy, Inc., an energy producer and wholesaler, from 2002-05. By emphasizing strategic investment and financial discipline, he has deftly managed global Fortune 100 and private equity-backed companies through difficult periods, including the economic downturn. He also has significant mergers and acquisitions experience. Amin began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1994. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Houston.

Lawrence Molloy

Lawrence Molloy has served as a member of our board of directors since 2013. He has rich perspective as a senior financial executive and is well versed in financial accounting and operational matters in the retail industry. He most recently served as chief financial officer for Under Armour, Inc., a leading manufacturer and seller of performance footwear, apparel and equipment, until february 2017. He was senior advisor to Roark Capital Group from 2014-15 and served PetSmart, Inc. as special advisor from 2013-14 and as executive vice president and chief financial officer from 2007-13. Lawrence was employed by Circuit City Stores, Inc., a national consumer electronics retailer, where he served as chief financial officer of retail from 2006-07, vice president of financial planning and analysis from 2004-06 and as director of financial planning and analysis from 2003-04. Prior to Circuit City, he served in various leadership, planning and strategy roles for Capital One Financial Corporation, AGL Capital Investments, LLC and Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group. He served 10 years in the US Navy as a fighter pilot, later retiring from the Navy Reserve with a rank of commander. He has been designated an audit committee financial expert as defined in applicable SEC rules.

Steven Townsend Steven Townsend has served as a member of our board of directors since 2013. He has more than 31 years of senior management, financial, operational, information systems and human resources experience. Steven has served as a director of Velocity Brands, LLC since 2010, ME Holding Corporation, parent company of Massage Envy, LLC, a leading provider of therapeutic massage and skincare services, since 2012 and Pet Value, a specialty retailer of pet food and pet related supplies, since 2015. He previously served United Natural Foods Inc., the largest publicly traded wholesale distributor of natural foods, as consultant from 2005-06, chairman from 2003-05, chief executive officer from 2003-05 and president from 2001-05. He also held the roles of chief financial officer and chief operating officer of UNFI after he joined in 1981 as controller. Steven previously held management positions at Harris Corporation and Tupperware Corporation and has been a director of Vault USA, LLC since 2008. He served as director of SI Bancorp MHC., SI Financial Group Inc., Savings Institute Bank and Trust Company, Global Energy Holdings Group Inc. and SunOpta Inc. Steven holds an MBA in Management and Information Systems and a B.S. in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude from Bryant College. He has been designated an audit committee financial expert as defined in applicable SEC rules.
